Dispusip Temporarily Closes Services in Libraries

Jakarta Library and Archives Agency (Dispusip) closes temporarily the libraries at provincial and municipalities levels due to Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) implementation in Jakarta.

Jakarta Dispusip Head, Wahyu Haryadi mentioned, his side closed Jakarta Public Libraries located in Cikini and Kuningan, as well as H.B. Jassin Literary Document Center.

"We close it to minimize the potential of COVID-19 transmission on library visitors. So, it is not possible to do face-to-face library services until an undetermined time," he conveyed, Thursday (9/17).

Libraries in East Jakarta are Ensured to Adopt Strict Health Protocols

However, he explained, library services can be accessed via iJakarta digital library application.

iJakarta is a platform that allows users to access digital books that can be read online or offline anywhere and anytime.

Through this application, users can interact with each other, provide book recommendation and write reviews related to the books they are reading. This application can be downloaded via Playstore for Android users.

"Feel free to access website https://ijakarta.id to find book you want to read," he added.

He also issued assignment letter about Work From Home (WFH) schedule in Jakarta Dispusip.

It informed work from office (WFO) schedule from Monday to Thursday 8 AM-1.30 PM and Friday 8 AM-2 PM.

"Employees are required to fill their daily work activities at e-kinerja. Personnel manager will record and input employees attendance information into e-absensi system," he said.
